Nurses earn pins
from the FHTC staff

Twenty students participated in the Flint Hills Technical College practical nursing pinning ceremony July 3 at the FHTC Conference Center. The practical nursing pinning signified the culmination of the summer semester and the completion of Associate of Applied Science degrees and Technical Certificates for the students.
The pinning ceremony included a presentation of the Class of 2008, a presentation of pins, a lamp lighting ceremony signifying the importance of Florence Nightingale and recitation of the Practical Nurse’s Pledge. Students participating in the ceremony and graduating included: Dalia Delgado, Oxnard, Calif.; Kirsten Rashelle Foye, Emporia; Chelsea Ann Perkins, Howard; Ashley Marie Smith, Hartford; and Michelle Spencer, Emporia, associate of applied science degree in practical nursing.
And, Franck Bimen Banda, Wichita; Jeanette Frances Burdiek, Emporia; Caroline Cheruiyot, Kansas City; Erica Frances Franks, Emporia; Jenny Lee Gilreath, Emporia; Ashley Marie Goin, Council Grove; Kelly Hutchinson, Council Grove; Cheryl Jacobs, Emporia; Lynette Marie Mayhew-Gurley, Emporia; Alvin Kennedy Mbwambo, Wichita; Deogratias Daman Ngassa, Wichita; Shawnna Lynn Rainey, Emporia, Graduating with Honors; Jeramy Skaggs, Americus; Ashley Michelle Tucker, El Dorado; and Sarah Diane White, Emporia, technical certificate in practical nursing.
