Vacation Bible School

Lamont Wesleyan Church will have Vacation Bible school, “Power Lab! Where Kids Discover Jesus’ Miraculous Power!,” for three-year-old children through sixth grade from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday and from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A light meal will be provided each evening. The Power Lab will include “amazing Bible adventures, daily challenges, fun and sometimes messy games, mad scientists, test-tube treats and lots of things for kids to enjoy and learn from,” said the news release. The school will be led by Gena Ott of Madison, leader of the church Children Ministries. Children can be pre-registered at www.lamontchurch.com and going to the “Kids” page, although pre-registration is not required. For more information, call Kelsy Crutchfield at (620) 364-2734. The church is one block south of Highway 58 in Lamont (between Gridley and Madison).

The Americus United Methodist Church will have Bible school, a family cookout and program from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 19. Participants are to bring a can of food for the Salvation Army.

Lebo-Olivet United Methodist Church will have Vacation Bible School, “Beach Party,” July 20-25. Children will “get ready to feel the surf, catch the wave of God’s love and go home with a new Beach Be-Attitude,” which include “Be Obedient, Be Kind, Be Forgiving, Be Bold, Believe,” said the news release. Neosho Rapids Methodist Church Bible School, “Backyard Bible Fun,” will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 21 through July 25 at the church. Registration is at 6 p.m. July 21. To pre-register, call superintendent Linda Swibold at 342-6855. The school will include Bible lessons, crafts, snacks, music and lots of fun. On July 25 at 6:30 p.m., there will be a picnic in Jones Park for parents, friends and grandparents.
