Save the pool
Help save the pool by dropping off aluminum cans at 410 Locust or at the swimming pool.
A Save the Pool Day event will be held July 19 with all-day events, family fun and games. There will be a co-ed softball tournament with a concession stand available throughout the games. For information, Josh Hamlin, 341-0842.
An ice-cream social by donation, an inflatable jumpy house ($1 fee) and a barbecue at 5 p.m. are scheduled. Save the Pool T-shirts are available for $10 and there will be a raffle for prizes.
The pool will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. and the evening celebration will end with a DJ. For information Jana Smart (620) 443-5227 or Kayla Burton (620) 794-6738.
Farmers Market
The weekly Farmers Market continues at 4 p.m. Friday on the west side of the city park. With the occurrence of inclement weather,
