Nicky Dikin takes 1st at Salina Open

Eight Emporia Kids Wrestling Club members placed at the Salina Open this past Saturday, led by the first-place finish of Nicky Dikin.
Dikin claimed the title in the 205-pound weight class in the 14-year-old age division, finishing his day with a 3-0 record.
Four other EKWC members placed fourth, all in the 14-year-old age group. Drew Detwiler ended his day 2-2 at 90 pounds, Bryce Dakin ended with a 4-2 record at 95 pounds, Tanner Page finished 2-2 at 110 pounds and Derek Hartig finished 2-2 at 125 pounds.
Braxton Marstall, 12, placed fifth in the 100-pound weight class with a 4-2 record, while Gabe Buckbee, (8, 46 pounds) and Devin Hinesly (14, 115 pounds) came in sixth.
