Joshua Ray Ortega, 20, was treated at Newman Regional Health and released after an accident early Sunday morning five miles north of Emporia on the Kansas Turnpike.
According to a report from the KTA’s Highway Patrol trooper, Ortega’s northbound 2007 Kia drifted to the left, struck a barrier wall and overturned about 1:55 a.m. Sunday.
It was unknown whether Ortega was wearing a seatbelt. The Kia was towed from the scene of the accident, just south of Milepost 133.
Ortega was alone in the vehicle.
