Chamber annual meeting The Americus Chamber of Commerce annual dinner and meeting will be Tuesday in the Presbyterian Annex, 557 Broadway Street. Social hour will begin at 6 p.m. with dinner following at 6:30.
The program will be presented by Claire and Olivia Hamlin, daughters of Rick and Lacie Hamlin; Taylor Rich, daughter of Melissa Rich; and Peyton Johnson, daughter of Fred and Lavone Johnson. They are students in the Sondra Burden Studio of Fine Arts.
Reservations may be made by calling Jean Winkler at the KansasLand Bank on today.
Political forum
Invited to take part in a political forum and discussion on Saturday in the USD 251 Meeting Room, 616 Main Street, are: Sen. Jim Barnett; Rep. Peggy Mast; County Commissioners Scott Briggs, Marshall Miller and Bob Davis; and retired County Commissioner Myron Van Gundy. The forum is sponsored by the Americus Chamber of Commerce and is open to the public. Refreshments will be served by the KansasLand Bank personnel from 8 to 8:30 a.m. with the presentations following.
