Vault will be sealed

The deadline for organizations to submit items such as yearbooks, directories or memorabilia to be added to the Lyon County Archives and listed in the sealed sesquicentennial vault is Jan. 31. Only the lists will be sealed in the vault. The items themselves will be part of the county’s historical collections.
The vault will be opened for the city’s bicentennial celebration in 50 years.
Items should be brought to the Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce, 719 Commercial St. The office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
