Fire causes extensive damage to home

A home was heavily damaged during a fire at 1052 Road 210 early this morning. No injuries were reported.
A press release from the Emporia Fire Department stated that the fire was called in at 3:02 a.m. Upon arrival, flames were seen coming from the roof of the home, which is owned by Sam Kraft. Two people inside the home escaped safely.
The Emporia Fire Department was assisted by the Americus and Allen Fire Departments.
The single-story home appears to be a total loss, the press release stated.
Firefighters were on the scene this morning to investigate the cause of the fire.
