The Emporia High boys outscored Shawnee Heights 26-11 in the fourth quarter to come from behind to defeat the Thunderbirds, 64-55, giving the Spartans the Ralph Miller Classic title for the second year in a row.
After trailing 44-38 at the end of the third quarter, the Spartans went 17-of-20 at the free-throw line in the final quarter to aid their winning cause.
Caydrick Bloomquist led all scorers with a career-high 35 points. Heights' leading scorer Matt Kobbeman was held to just four points.
Bloomquist and Taylor Euler were named to the All-Tournament team.
