A day after the Emporia City Commission approved funds for the Springsted proposal for study of law enforcement consolidation in the county, the Lyon County Commission voted to go ahead with the study.
Both entities will kick in $20,000 of the $40,000 cost for the study. Earlier this month, city and county commissioners listened to a presentation by Springsted, the company that examined the city’s potential for consolidating city and county law enforcement. Lyon County commissioners voted to approve the funds during Thursday’s action session.
In other business:
F County commissioners approved the purchase of paint for the conference room at 618 Commercial St. to TFI Family Services in the amount of $1,032.
