3 Chase County wrestlers place at Halstead

The Chase County High School wrestling team finished 10th out of 21 teams at the Halstead Tournament last Friday and Saturday, led by three athletes that placed.
Leading the way for Chase County was senior Brendan Harshman, who finished second after suffering his first loss of the season in the finals of the 125-pound weight class by one point. Harshman earned three technical falls at the tournament to run his career total to 28, which ranks third in school history.
Two other Bulldogs placed fourth: sophomore Chance Mildward and senior Andrew Sisson.
Despite being unseeded going into the tournament, Mildward managed to defeat the third and fourth seeds on his way to the fourth-place finish at 285 pounds.
Sisson finished with a 2-2 record on the day to finish fourth at 160 pounds.
