Honor roll

Emporia Christian School has announced its second-quarter honor roll:

Straight “A” honor roll: Anna Black, Jaimee Foster, Breanna Gilger, Kyle Goza-Brogan, Hadyn Hawkins, Morgan Kauffman, Samantha Le, Malorie Love, Brevyn Lyon, Hayley Sanborn, Kiley Seidl, Christian Smith, Jennica Smith, Tiffany Standerwick, Duncan Teegardin, Grace Walker, Natalie Waters and Becky Wells.

“A” honor roll: Adam Blake, Alexus Duncan, Christopher Gilger, Kyle Gitchel, Zach Harris, Legend Kenney, Caleb Love, Tara McKenzie, Colin Metzger, Braxton Pauls, Hannah Rogers, Ian Smith, Tanner Standerwick, Tyler Standerwick, Hannah Tovar and Jonathan Wernli.

“B” honor roll: Max Allen, Maddie Carson, Max Dieker, LaDusta Coble, Luke Gitchel, Hallie Hawkins, David Love, Peyton Oden, Emily Sanborn, Nathan Schrock, Emily Stevenson, Shayla Shade, Jenni Wells, Katie Wells, Parker Wood and Spencer Worthen.

Graduates in Florida

Rebecca Heins, daughter of former Emporians Rick and Mary Heins, graduated summa cum laude Dec. 14 from the University of Central Florida with a master’s degree in non-profit management. Heins is a graduate of Emporia High School.

On the honor roll

Lindsey Hollond of Emporia was named to the Vice President’s Honor Roll for the fall semester at Northwestern Oklahoma State University. Those on this honor roll had grade averages of 3.5 or better in a minimum of 12 undergraduate or nine graduate hours.

Top honors

Daniel Orrin Kirk of Emporia was named to the fall 2007 President’s Honor Roll at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Mo. Students who carried 12 hours or more for graded credit and earned a grade point average of 4.0 qualify for the honor.
