The No. 13 Lady Hornets trailed by as many as 10 in the first half.

SBU led 35-33 at half before starting the second half on a 9-0 run to make it 44-33 with 15:26 left.

ESU answered with a 10-0 spurt of its own to close the gap to 44-43.

The Lady Hornets trailed 68-58 with 4:03 left, but responded with a 13-3 run to tie it at 71 with 1:37 left.

Rachel Graves' two free throws gave SBU a 76-73 lead with 15.1 seconds left.

Cassondra Boston and Michelle Stueve both missed 3-pointers on ESU's last possession that would have tied it.

Stueve led ESU with 15 points, while Andrea Leiker and Ida Edwards both added 14.
