MAYB Basketball
Tournaments
Several MAYB basketball tournaments are coming to the area.
The tournaments are for boys and girls in third through eighth grades.
Three tournaments are schedule for Jan. 12-13. Tournaments will be held in Great Bend, El Dorado and the K.C. Metro area, with registration for each tournament due on Friday.
Two other tournaments are set for Jan. 19-20. Tournaments will be held in Hutchinson and Lawrence, with registration for each tournament due by Jan. 4.
Each team is guaranteed to play three games. There is a $150 entry fee, which is due on the registration deadline. For more information, call (316) 284-0354, visit www.mayb.com, or e-mail mayb@mayb.com.
Hornet Baseball
Hitting Camp
The Emporia State baseball team will be holding hitting camps for players age 14 through 18 from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, as well as Jan. 12, 19 and 20. The camps will be held at ESU’s HPER Building, which is located on the north end of Welch Stadium.
The camp will cover the fundamentals of hitting and bunting with individual instruction. It will take place in two gyms on the lower level of the HPER Building, which includes batting cages and area for drills. Video will be taken and gone over with each player.

Cost is $50, and checks can be made payable to Emporia State Baseball.
