Lyon and Osage counties will receive part of $1.2 million in emergency food and shelter funds, Gov. Kathleen Sebelius announced Wednesday.
Lyon County will receive $19,254. Osage will receive $11,493.
The EFS National Board provides supplemental funding to shelters, soup kitchens and food banks. One-month awards for rent, mortgage, and utility assistance are also available. The money is used to help individuals and families with non-disaster, temporary emergency needs.
