Emporia State University’s Department of Psychology and Special Education is hosting the 28th annual Great Plains Student Psychology convention March 14-15 in Visser Hall. The department expects approximately 300 students and faculty for the event.
Keynote speaker for the 2008 convention is David Baker, the Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation director of the Archives of the History of American Psychology in Akron, Ohio and professor of psychology at the University of Akron.
Baker’s address, Lessons Lost: A History of Students in Psychology, will be presented in Albert Taylor Hall at 4:45 p.m. March 15. The address is open to the public free of charge due to a generous grant provided by the Emporia State University Special Events Board.
