 Library news

The “Cat in the Hat” will be appearing in the library children’s room at 1:30 p.m. March 6.

The first and second graders from the Americus Elementary School plan to attend along with other children from the area. For this week, the regular story time will be cancelled.  Regular story times at the library are 9:30 to 10 a.m. every Thursday. A special children’s crafts time is held on the last Thursday.  For information, Anita Westcott, librarian, (620) 443-5503. The library is located at 710 Main Street.

Chamber news

The board meeting will be held at 7:30 a.m. Saturday in the USD 251 Meeting Room. The meetings are open to the public. Items on the agenda will be the discussion of the plans for the quarterly meeting and dinner on April 22, an Easter Egg Hunt, and a city-wide clean-up day.
