FSA Loans available
Jane Armitage, farm loan manager of the Farm Service Agency for Chase, Greenwood, Lyon, Marion, Morris, Wabaunsee and Woodson counties, announced the availability of farm operating and farm ownership loans, both direct and guaranteed for beginning and non-beginning farmers. FSA loans can be used to purchase land, livestock, equipment and provide crop inputs. FSA also makes youth loans to youth ages 10 to 21 years old and who live in a town of less than 50,000 and be unable to obtain a loan from other sources. Loans may be used to buy livestock, equipment and supplies and pay operating expenses for running the project.
