Americus recreation
The Americus Recreation Organization will host basketball tournaments for fifth and sixth grade girls in the Americus Gymnasium, March 1. For information, (620) 443-5655.
Soccer registrations are available at the Americus City Hall or the Americus Grade School. The deadline is March 14th.
ARO members are: Marcia Johnson, registration; Tim Delcamp, fields; Melissa Rich, treasurer; Denise King, uniforms; and Josh Hamlin, equipment manager.
The board meets at the City Hall, 6 p.m., on the first Wednesday of each month.
Recycling trailer
The Recycling Trailer will be on the south side of the Americus Grade School on Tuesday and March 4. The trailer is at this location on the first and third Tuesdays of each month.
Sesquicentennial book
Order forms for the book are located at the Americus Township Library and City Hall. The book will be available at the end of May and advance orders are being taken. For information, (620) 443-5214.
