The Chase County girls set the tone early, taking control of the first quarter in a 55-26 victory over Centre.
The Lady Bulldogs used a 16-5 first-quarter run to grab the early lead, then extended that advantage to 33-14 at halftime.
“The first 3 minutes determined the entire game,” CCHS assistant coach Cammy Onek said. “The took advantage of everything and made it happen. Centre’s a good team, but tonight was just our night.”
CCHS continued to pour it on after the break, posting another 16-5 run to take a 49-19 lead into the final quarter.
Heather Duncan and Sequoia Shull led the way with 12 points each, while Ashley Cahoone added 10.

Herington 69, No. Heights 64, OT
The Northern Heights girls came up just short in a 69-64 overtime loss to Herington.
The Ladycats were outscored 8-3 in the extra frame.
“I thought that the girls played well tonight, and I am proud of their effort,” Heights coach Tim Riemann said. “We had a chance to win at the end of regulation, and that is what we wanted.”
The two teams stayed close throughout, as Herington took a 17-12 first-quarter lead before Heights closed the gap to 30-28 at halftime.
Amy Lee led the Ladycats with 17 points and four steals. Amy Boline added 11 points and nine rebounds, while Sarah Boline had 10 points and seven rebounds.
Crysta Brockmeier paced Herington with a game-high 29 points, while Chanell Makovec added 23.

Lyndon 69, Hartford 45
Lyndon used a strong second half to pull away from Hartford in a 69-45 victory.
The Lady Tigers led 26-23 at the break before lighting up the scoreboard in the final 16 minutes.
Lyndon went on a 20-6 run in the third quarter, then added 23 fourth-quarter points to further extend its advantage.
Cara Bolz led four Lady Tigers in double figures with 18 points. Chelsea Schmitz added 15, Stephanie Goetz had 11 and Krista Banzhaf contributed 10.
Hartford was paced by Paige Hamman, who had 12 points.

Burlingame 47, MdCV 42
Burlingame used a strong start and finish to hold off Marais des Cygnes Valley in a 47-42 victory.
The Lady Bearcats went on a 21-13 first-quarter run to grab a lead before having to fight off the Lady Trojans in the final frame.
Leading 35-33 entering the fourth quarter, Burlingame outscored MdCV 12-9 in the final 8 minutes to secure its advantage.
Meghan Atchison led Burlingame with 16 points, with 10 of those coming in the first quarter. Miranda Fagan added double digits with 11.
Heather Schuyler posted 14 points for MdCV, while Cheyenne Russell contributed 13.
Burlingame helped itself at the free-throw line, making 9 of 11 attempts.

Madison 63, Hamilton 18
Led by a bounceback game from Abby Kile, the Madison girls rolled to a 63-18 triumph over Hamilton.
The 5-foot-5 guard scored the Lady Bulldogs’ first eight points, helping her team to a 17-2 lead after the first quarter.
“She was on fire,” Madison coach Glen Stout said. “Everything she put up went in.”
Kile didn’t have any points in her team’s previous game, a 57-45 win over Lebo on Tuesday.
The Lady Bulldogs didn’t let up after the first quarter, building a 35-8 halftime lead and a 55-16 advantage after three quarters.
Kile’s 16 points paced Madison, while Misty Waggoner, Chelcie Schankie and Molly Ballard added eight points apiece.
Ballard hit both of her attempts from long range and is now 4-for-5 from three-point range in her last two games.
The Lady Bulldogs will open Regionals with a 7 p.m. home matchup on Tuesday against Hartford.

Playing games on back-to-back days didn’t seem to affect the Southern Coffey County girls, as they ran away with a 58-44 victory over Lebo.
The Lady Titans took control early, taking a 16-6 lead after the first quarter and building that advantage to 31-12 at halftime.
Lebo outscored SCC in the third and fourth quarters, but it wasn’t nearly enough to make up the 19-point deficit.
Morgan Laflin led the Lady Wolves with 19 points, making all nine of her attempts from the free-throw line. Chelsie Eagleburger added 11.
SCC was paced by the hot shooting of Shelby Birk, who made six 3-pointers and finished with 24 points. Kristen Garland added three more treys and 15 points, as the two combined to shoot 60 percent from long range (9-of-15).
The Lady Titans made 21 of 45 shots from the floor (47 percent).
