Emporia State’s Michelle Stueve, who broke the MIAA’s all-time scoring record last week, added another honor as she was named MIAA athlete of the week on Monday.
Stueve averaged 28 points and eight rebounds in the Lady Hornets’ two wins last week.
Stueve broke the league’s scoring mark with her final basket in Thursday’s 27-point performance against Northwest Missouri State.
ESU tracksters Dustin Andrews and Jonel Rossbach also won MIAA athlete of the week honors.
Andrews high-jumped 6 feet, 11 inches on Friday at the Mule Relays, missing an automatic qualification for Nationals by one centimeter.
Rossbach earned an automatic qualifying mark for Nationals with a fourth-place finish in the mile (4:56.96) at the Nebraska Adidas Classic on Saturday in Lincoln, Neb.
