The Saturday morning information and discussion from State Sen. Jim Barnett, Rep. Peggy Mast, County Commissioners Scott Briggs, Bob Davis and Marshall Miller predicted that the recent Tyson announcement will have an upbeat turn at some point.
Sources of energy will be explored with emphasis on wind turbines and education and health issues will be on the front burners as the legislature continues with issues and problems.
Briggs commented that Lyon County Department heads work diligently to keep everything in line and that they are doing a great job. He also stated that youths are a great untapped resource available in our area. Miller commented that keeping gravel on roads has been a high priority this year because of all of the flooding. Davis feels there is a need to clean up visual appearances in the city, the county, and the Lyon County Fairgrounds.
The overall feeling was that everyone needs to work together to clean up the neighborhoods and make the county an inviting place to live and to visit.
