Road closed
Road M between U.S. Highway 56 and Road 370 will remain closed because of a bridge replacement. Weather has slowed down construction and the road is expected to be closed until March 7.
College financial aid
High school students and families working on financial aid packets for college can get help from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Emporia High School library. College Goal Sunday, sponsored by Kansas Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, will have workers available to help parents complete the 2008-09 Free Application for Federal Student Aid, also called FAFSA. Those who attend will be entered into a drawing for one of four $500 scholarships.
