SOS training
SOS is offering a training program for people interested in becoming trained volunteers. Volunteers are needed to answer telephones, pick up donations and serve victims and children directly as victim advocates. Bilingual volunteers also are needed.
Training is free; however, a $12 donation is requested for a background check. Call 342-7943 or 343-8799 to register or for more information.
North Lyon Republicans
Republican National Committeewoman Alicia Salisbury will be guest speaker at the Santa Fe Trail Republican Women of North Lyon County meeting at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Senior Center in Allen. She will bring information from the Republican National Committee and will discuss the upcoming presidential caucus.

Annual soup supper
The Rosean Social Club will be host for its annual soup supper at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Rosean School House. The event is open to the public. For more information, call Judy Moore at 343-1028.
