Emporia Schools
BREAKFAST
Monday: cereal and muffin or PopTarts.
Tuesday: pizza or cereal and graham cookies.
Wednesday: drizzled scone or cereal and graham cookies.
Thursday: sausage and cheese biscuit or cereal and graham cookies.
Friday: pancake on a stick or cereal and graham cookies.
LUNCH
Monday: chicken patty on a bun, fries, baby carrots and dip, mandarin oranges.
Tuesday: country steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, dinner roll, peas and carrots, peach half.
Wednesday: cheese pizza, corn, strawberry-banana cup, vanilla wafers.
Thursday: burrito, nacho chips with cheese sauce, tossed salad, applesauce.
Friday: baked fish on a bun, green beans, orange smiles, ice cream cup.
Friendship Meals
Emporia
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, california-blend vegetable, pineapple chunks.
Tuesday: Mr. Rib, bun, baked beans, summer vegetables, raspberry gelatin with cranberry sauce.
Wednesday: meat loaf or fish, baked potato, stir-fry vegetables, wheat roll, pineapple pudding.
Thursday: ham, candied sweet potatoes, mediterranean vegetables, rye bread, pie.
Friday: hamburger or fish, bun, sliced tomato, potato salad, orange.
North Lyon County
Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: chicken and noodles, green beans, bread, brownies, apricots.
Tuesday: pot roast, potatoes and gravy, carrots, bread, waldorf salad.
Wednesday: baked fish, broccoli-rice au gratin, wheat bread, autumn gelatin salad.
Thursday: pork cutlet, mashed potates and gravy, spinach, bread, pineapple ambrosia.
Friday: soup, meat salad sandwich, crackers, mixed fruit, cookie.
