The lumber is corroding the steel under the wood.
Council Grove
The Council Grove Republican reported on Tuesday that there will be no Fourth of July fireworks display this summer on the Neosho Riverwalk.
The celebration committee recommended to city commissioners that there be no display. Not all of the property owners along the Neosho Riverwalk will sign a waiver to allow the show to take place this summer. Committee members and representatives of Stars and Stripes Fireworks met last week to discuss other locations and the future of the event. The groups are running out of times to schedule the event and are running out of other possibilities for other sites.
