Boston's 22 leads ESU women to win at home

Cassondra Boston scored 22 points and had nine assists to lead Emporia State to a 85-67 victory over Nebraska-Omaha on Wednesday at White Auditorium.
Ida Edwards and Sophia Lenard both filled up the stat sheet to help the Lady Hornets improve to 5-0 in the MIAA. Edwards scored 12 points, had 12 rebounds, two blocks and two steals. Lenard scored 15, had four rebounds, two assists, three blocks and two steals.
Emporia State forced 23 UNO turnovers and and held UNO to 36.8 percent shooting.

Half
It might just be Cassondra Boston’s night.
Boston finished the half with a buzzer-beater beyond half court to give Emporia State a 41-23 lead over Nebraska-Omaha at White Auditorium.
The junior point guard led the Lady Hornets with 13 points — including three 3-pointers — and has a team-leading five assists.
Ida Edwards has eight points and five rebounds, and Sophia Lenard has six points, four rebounds, three blocks and a steal.
Emporia State forced 15 UNO turnovers in the first half and has held the Mavericks to 26.9 percent shooting.
