There’s plenty to do in Emporia on New Year’s Eve from a roller skate party for youth to several spots for adults to partake in Emporia’s night life.

• There will be a New Year’s Eve Gala hosted by the Emporia Arts Council. The gala will be from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at the Granada Theatre. Tickets are $75 and are all-inclusive. The price includes party favors, live music, beverages and more. To reserve tickets call 343-6473.
• Coach’s, Specials: 12 oz. prime rib dinner, free dessert with prime rib, kitchen will be open until 11 p.m.
• Lariat “The Noose”, 323 Commercial St., Open with no cover charge, regular hours, 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., Open New Year’s Day regular hours, glass of Champaign for everybody who is here at midnight New Year’s Eve
• The Purple Duck, 1516 W. Sixth Ave., $1 well drinks, $1 draws 12 ounce, bottled beer for $2
• J Mo’s Place, 518 Commercial St., no cover charge that night, Free Champaign after midnight, Free party favors
• The Blind, 1124 Commercial St., Food and snacks, no cover charge, will have some beer specials
• Sidetrack Saloon, 318 Neosho St. , $10 cover, Karaoke, food, party favors, Champaign at midnight
• Josie’s Tavern, 19 E. Sixth Ave., four bands will be playing: Kids Can Dream, Evil Love Drones, Machine Garden and the High Life, $2 UV vodka drinks, Whiskey shots at midnight, $7 cover, over 21, $10 cover, ages 18-21
• Mulligan’s, 23 E. Sixth Ave., open at 6 p.m., $2 wells and $2 draws
• New Year’s Eve Dinner at the American Legion, 5 to 8 p.m., prime rib, and shrimp buffet, $16.95 per person, Post No. 5, 2921 W. 12th, Post. No. 5 closed on New Year’s Day
• Rollers, 701 Graham St., Kids Party from 1 to 3:30 p.m. $6 admission, skate rental is included, Giant balloon drop at 3 p.m. with lots of prizes
• Rollers New Year’s Eve all-night lock in, 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m., $20 stay all night, Free pizza at 10 p.m., donuts/juice at 5:30 a.m., no one leaves without an adult picking them up, Free hats and horns for everyone, giant balloon drop at midnight
