The winners in the best use of lights category were Jerry and Jessica Tucker, 308 7th St.

Mary Littlefield, 311 Locust St., received honorable mention.

Bob Kearns Electrical Service Incorporated, 1205 8th St., was the winner in the best commercial display. No honorable mention was given.

Steve and Samantha Burton, East Locust Street, received the best lawn scene award and Randy and Sue Williamson, 612 12th St., received honorable mention.

Terry M. Ellis won the best traditional display and Charles and France Mealman, 561 Cherry St., received honorable mention.

The judges were Ron Thomas and Chuck Samples from KVOE. Nick Gadino, city maintenance director, and Belle Grimsley, chamber of commerce secretary and navigator, guided them around the town.

Thomas, Samples, and Gadino were guests of the chamber of commerce at The New Breck Cafe before performing the judging activities.  The Americus Chamber of Commerce sponsored the contest and presented certificates to all winners and placed decorated signs in the yards of the first place winners.
