Friendship Meals
Emporia
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. For home delivery, call 340-8001.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, peas and carrots, applesauce.
Tuesday: pork grill bites, rice, brussel sprouts, bread, cherry crisp.
Wednesday: chicken-fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, succotash, roll, scalloped apples.
Thursday: New Years Day, closed.
Friday: January menu not available.
North Lyon County
Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: tuna-noodle casserole, peas and carrots, bread, tropical fruit.
Tuesday: oven-fried chicken, mashed potates and gravy, green beans, roll, apple crisp.
Wednesday: vegetable-beef stew, cottage cheese, biscuits, baked dessert.
Thursday: New Years Day, closed.
Friday: breaded fish, baked potato, tomatoes, bread, rosy applesauce.
