Lebo blood drive
The Community Blood Center, provider of blood services to local hospitals, will hold a blood drive from 2:30 to 6:15 p.m. Jan. 5 in Lebo at the Conference Room, 327 Ogden. To make an appointment online go to www.savealifenow.org and use Sponsor Code lebocomm or call Marilyn Combes at (620) 256-6408. According to the news release, “just one donation can help as many as two local hospital patients.” CBC must collect at least 580 pints of blood every day to meet the needs of this area.
Health Center hours
The evening walk-in clinic at the Flint Hills Community Health Center/Lyon County Health Department has been cancelled for New Year’s Eve.
The center will be open Wednesday, Dec. 31, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will close all day Thursday for the New Year’s holiday.
Regular office hours, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., will resume on Friday, Jan. 2.
