Light Judging
The home and commercial light judging will take place tonight at approximately 6:30 or 7 p.m.
The judges will be Ron Thomas and Chuck Samples from KVOE. The homes and businesses will be judged on best use of lights, best lawn scene, best commercial display and best traditional display.
Certificates will be awarded to the winners and a sign will be placed in the yard announcing the winning category.
2009 Animal Clinic
Dr. Scott Gordon, DVM, will be at the City Shop, 506 Cherry St., January 31, for the annual city animal clinic, from 9 a.m. until noon, to give vaccinations. 2009 dog and cat tags may purchased at this time for $1 for spayed or neutered pets or $2 for pets not spayed or neutered. A 50-cent late fee per month will be added after January 31. Tags for 2009 are available at city hall.
Pets are not allowed to run at large within the city, according to the city code. A fine of $25 for the first offense and $50 for the second offense will be charged, with fines for subsequent offenses set by the municipal court judge. A $65 court cost will be added to the fine.
