There was no school in Olpe on Friday, and for one half of play on Friday night, it showed on the basketball floor as Olpe and Southern Coffey County only scored 29 points combined in the first half.
“I know as a coach, I like seeing my kids, ’cause you never know what they are doing throughout the day,” Olpe coach Chris Schmidt said. “We tell them to treat it like a normal day and wake up and go through like they would. Just opening up for the game today at 4:00, it’s just different for everybody, but we’ve just got to do better than we did tonight.”
The Eagles came to life in the second half though, outscoring SCC 32-19 to earn a 47-33 victory.

Do you really tell us to check the online edition to read this, and then not put up the online edition. Makes it hard to read the whole story.
