Miniature train rides
Weather permitting, the Sertoma Club will have a Christmas train ride from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday on the miniature train in Soden’s Park.
The rides are free and Santa will be there to talk to children.
Band concert
Doors will open at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Granada Theatre for the Emporia Municipal Band concert which starts at 7 p.m. The concert is free. People who cannot attend the evening concert will be welcome at the 3 p.m. rehearsal, said Dick Winter, band president.
Donations are welcome to help support the band’s summer park concerts. The band has been playing for the public for 75 years.
