Emporia Schools
BREAKFAST
Monday: pancake on a stick or cereal and graham cookies.
Tuesday: Little Smokies with Texas toast and jelly or cereal and graham cookie.
Wednesday: frosted long john and mozzarella cheese stick or cereal and graham cookie.
Thursday: continental breakfast.
Friday: continental breakfast.
LUNCH
Monday: cheeseburger on a bun, fries, baby carrots and dip, mandarin oranges.
Tuesday: pizza, tossed salad, strawberries, vanilla wafers.
Wednesday: crispitos, nacho chips with cheese sauce, tossed salad, mixed fruit.
Thursday: chicken strips, cheesy potatoes, corn, dinner roll, mixed fruit.
Friday: chili, Frito corn chips, cinnamon roll, green beans, mixed fruit.
Breakfast is served with juice and milk, lunch is served with milk.
Friendship Meals
Emporia
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. For home delivery, call 340-8001.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: Swedish meatballs, fettucini alfredo, broccoli, wheat roll, plums.
Tuesday: pork patty, bun, baked beans, carrot-raisin salad, strawberries.
Wednesday: chicken-fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, wheat roll, cake and ice cream.
Thursday: chicken tetrazzini, Mediterranean vegetables, wheat bread, apple-cranberry crisp.
Friday: goulash, California-blend vegetables, bread, fruit cocktail.
North Lyon County
Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: hamburger steak, scalloped potatoes, mixed vegetables, bread, applesauce.
Tuesday: hot turkey sandwich, mashed potatoes and gravy, peas, cranberry-cherry salad.
Wednesday: ribette on a bun, potatoes, corn, heavenly hash.
Thursday: chili with beans, crackers, strawberries, cookie.
Friday: Christmas dinner: ham with pineapple, mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, hot roll, cherry cheesecake.
