L-Cat considering Sunday service
Saturday, December 13, 2008
Q When will elderly people have a reliable way to get to church on Sunday mornings? There’s only one taxi and it often is running late or can’t come at all by the time church starts. Is there a way to get L-CAT to start a Sunday morning service?
A The suggestion is one that L-CAT manager Ken Barrows already is working toward resolving. Much depends upon the success of a grant now being written.
“It’s something that we are looking at doing, possibly next year, but I don’t know when,” Barrows said.
“We’re working really hard on that. We just don’t have the money in the budget now, but we’re hoping to get that.”
Barrows said that if the grant is successful, he hopes to add not only Sunday service, but some evening runs as well.
