Final
Emporia State suffered its first loss in the MIAA, 71-54, at Central Missouri.
The Hornets had 19 turnover, compared to just six for the Mules.
Emporia State also struggled shooting the ball, going 0-for-12 from beyond the arc. The Hornets twice cut the Mules’ lead to nine in the second half, but the Mules answered with a 11-0 run to extend their lead to 20 and out of reach.
Lamar Wilbern led the Hornets with 16 points and Tim Niles added 11.

The Hornets have struggled to get in a rhythm on offense. They have 11 turnovers and have shot 10-of-26 from the field. They’re also 0-for-5 from 3-point range. They came into the game averaging 10.1 3-pointers per game.
Lamar Wilbern leads ESU with 10 points and Shang Ping has six, including the first four points of the game for the Hornets.
