EHS Alumni Classic

Emporia High School will host its Alumni Classic basketball games on Saturday, Dec. 27 at EHS. The number of games and teams will depend on the number of entries for alumni from each decade.

If there are enough entries, the Old-Timers game — featuring alumni from the 1960s and older — will begin at noon. The 1970s alumni game will begin at 2 p.m., the 1980s alumni game will start at 4:30 p.m., the 1990s game will begin at 6 p.m. and the 2000s game will begin at 8 p.m. Each game will feature alumni from odd-numbered years in that decade versus alumni from even-numbered years.

The entry fee is $10 per player and includes a T-shirt. Deadline to enter is Wednesday, Dec. 17. To enter, send your name, year of graduation and entry fee to Coach Rick Bloomquist, Emporia High School, 3302 W. 18th Ave., Emporia 66801. For more information, contact Bloomquist at 620-341-2365, ext. 406, or at 620-343-5102.
