Four local bands will perform Wednesday evening at a fundraiser for Taryn Morris, 17, an Emporia High School junior who is undergoing treatment for Hodgkins lymphoma.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. at Josie’s, 19 E. Sixth Ave., according to Stacie Sonnakold, one of the organizers. The admission charge will be $3 per person.
Tickets also will be sold for a raffle that will include numerous prizes and gift certificates from area businesses and individuals. Money raised will be used to help defray expenses associated with Taryn’s treatment, Sonnakold said. Bands that will play Wednesday are: Ball Dozer, Take of the Forgotten, Kids Can Dream Outloud, and The Dud Idols. For more information, call 757-9556.
