School-age children looking for gifts for family, friends and even pets need look no further than the Kris Kringle’s Kids Shoppe that starts on Wednesday.
Emporia Main Street hosts the event, which is located at 725 Commercial St. Gifts from Main Street merchants will be available for $10 or less.
“They can come and shop for Mom, Dad, brother, sister, the family pet, Grandpa and Grandma, pretty much there’s something there for everybody,” said Kayla Oney, executive director of Emporia Main Street. “It’s priced for children who are buying gifts.”
Free gift wrapping will be available, Oney added.
“Main Street elves will be there to help children in picking up merchandise and gift wrapping,” she said. “The basic idea is to have parents or grandparents drop off their children, while they are doing their holiday shopping downtown, they can do their shopping.”
Kris Kringle’s Kids Shoppe runs from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
“Saturday Santa is going to be there all day,” Oney said.
