New endowed scholarship established

The Flint Hills Technical College Foundation is pleased to announce the establishment of the Dale and Carolyn Davis Family Endowed Scholarship.
This scholarship will provide financial assistance with preference for students from Lyon County enrolling for the first time as post-secondary students with demonstrated financial need and meeting the minimum 2.75 GPA requirement. The scholarship is renewable for the completion of an associate of applied science degree upon completing the certificate portion of their program of study with a 3.0 GPA.
Additional criteria will also be considered.
According to Jodi Heermann, executive director of advancement with the Flint Hills Technical College Foundation, “Dale and Carolyn Davis truly believe in technical education and have made a difference in the community with their involvement and support of Flint Hills Technical College. As a testament to their support, they have made an investment in our students by establishing an endowed scholarship.
“The FHTC Foundation board of directors is very grateful for the confidence that has been placed in them with the establishment of this endowment. Because of the Davis’s generosity, many deserving students will be assisted financially as they pursue their technical career at Flint Hills Technical College.”
