Flu vaccine available
The Lyon County Health Department has obtained 220 doses of flu vaccine and will offer a vaccination clinic from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the department, 420 W. 15th Ave., while the supply lasts.
Vaccinations are $20 each. The clinic will accept Medicare, Medicaid, cash and checks.
The vaccine is designed to protect people against three of the influenza strains most likely to cause widespread influenza outbreaks this year.
A news release from the department indicated that this may be the last opportunity for vaccination this winter.
