Emporia Schools
BREAKFAST
Monday: cereal bar and muffin or cereal and graham cookies.
Tuesday:Little Smokies and Texas toast with jelly or cereal and graham cookies.
Wednesday: frosted long john and mozzarella cheese stick or cereal and graham cookies.
Thursday: breakfast pizza or cereal and graham cookies.
Friday: pancake on a stick or cereal and graham cookies.
LUNCH
Monday: cheeseburger on a bun, fries, baby carrots and dip, mandarin oranges.
Tuesday: pizza, tossed salad, strawberries, vanilla wafers.
Wednesday: crispitos, nacho chips, cheese sauce, tossed salad, applesauce.
Thursday: chicken strips, soft tortilla, chopped vegetables, corn, peach half.
Friday: chili, corn chips, cinnamon roll, green beans, banana.
Breakfast is served with juice and milk, lunch is served with milk.
Friendship Meals
Emporia
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. For home delivery, call 340-8001.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: beef stroganoff, Italian vegetables, Texas toast, fruit cup.
Tuesday: taco salad with cheese, lettuce, sliced tomato, corn chips, mandarin oranges.
Wednesday: turkey roast, mashed potatoes and gravy, California-blend vegetables, wheat roll, cherry crisp.
Thursday: sweet and spicy pork, rice, Caribbean-blend vegetables, wheat bread, rosy applesauce.
Friday: sloppy joe on a bun, pasta salad, pickled beets, scalloped apples.
North Lyon County
Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: salmon patty with cream sauce, noodles Romanoff, stewed tomatoes, bread, cantaloupe.
Tuesday: taco salad with chips, bread sticks, summer fruit cup, sherbet.
Wednesday: roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, mixed vegetables, hot roll, apricots.
Thursday: honey-glazed pork chops, potatoes, braised cabbage and carrots, bread, Waldorf salad.
Friday: oven-fried chicken, potatoes, wax beans with pimento, wheat roll, five-cup salad.
