Benefit for horse rescue
Winding Road Equine Rescue and Retirement will be the host for “Karaoke at the Ranch” at 8 p.m. Saturday at the rescue ranch at 1651 Old Highway 50, three and one-half miles east of the junction of U.S. Highway 75 and old Highway 50. Gates will open at 7 p.m. Karaoke service has been donated by “In D Shadows” of Ramona. Admission is $5 each person. BYOB if desired; also, lawn chairs. Proceeds will go toward the care of the horses at the ranch.
Ice cream social
The Neosho Rapids Methodist Church will have an Ice Cream Social at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Neosho Rapids Community Center. Ice cream is 75 cents a dip; pie, $1.50 each slice; $1 for cake; $1.50, sandwiches; 50 cents, coffee or iced tea. There will be baked goods and garden produce for sale.
