THE GREATEST Nebraska Fan.
That’s how I will remember Bruce Neill. He will be missed by all of us who knew him.
The first time I walked into Neenans, I saw the Big Red N. Being a Missouri fan, I remember thinking “Oh great, another one of them.” But Bruce was not like most of the Nebraska fans. He saw my Missouri hat and with a smile asked If I was scared yet. I asked him what he meant and he said the Nebraska/Missouri game was only two months away.
Nebraska football will go on. There will always be Nebraska fans. But as far as I’m concerned Bruce Neill will always be The Greatest Nebraska Fan.
