Some events scheduled for the Americus Days celebration on Oct. 4 include 3-on-3 basketball, quilt and memorabilia show, lawn mower races, 5K Fun Run/walk, horseshoes, co-ed softball, pancake feed, food and craft booths, parade at 11 a.m., antique tractor pull, 1 p.m., a free hot dog feed at 6 p.m. sponsored by the KansasLand Bank and Allen Meat Processing, a dance at 8 p.m., a car and truck show and many more activities.
The next committee meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the city park. In case of inclement weather, the meeting will be held in the Presbyterian Annex, 561 Broadway.
