Former Emporia High School standout Sadie Webb scored 13 points in the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association girls all-star game Wednesday night, helping the South team to an 86-75 victory over the North squad at Lee Arena in Topeka.
Webb, who helped lead the Lady Spartans to the State Tournament this past season, made 5-of-9 shots and knocked down all three of her free throw attempts, tying Labette County’s Kendra Frazier for the second-most points on the South. Hutchinson Central Christian’s Megan Patrick scored 17.
Holton’s Melissa Nelson scored 19 points for the North to lead all scorers, making all 10 of her free throws. She was the only North player in double figures.
In the KBCA boys all-star game, former EHS star Caydrick Bloomquist — who averaged 21 points during the 2007-08 season in leading the Spartans to the state tournament — scored two points for the North team, which defeated the South in a 116-111 shootout. Bloomquist went 1-for-7 from the floor.
Manhattan’s Jackie Carmichael scored 27 points for the North to lead all scorers and pulled down eight rebounds.
Marquez Patterson of Liberal scored 20 for the North, and Highland Park’s Adrian Herrera and Kensington’s Ethan Kuhlman each had 12. Jordan Cyphers of Wichita Southeast scored 24 for the South.
