Former EHS basketball players to play in All-Star game

Former Emporia High School basketball stars Caydrick Bloomquist and Sadie Webb are on the rosters for tonight’s Kansas Basketball Coaches Association all-star games in Topeka. The girls game tips off at 6 p.m. at Lee Arena, followed by the boys game at 8 p.m.

Bloomquist will be part of the North squad in the boys game, coached by Highland Park’s Ken Darting. Joining the 6-foot Emporia guard on the North roster will be Steve Feighny, Hayden; Anthony Downing, Atchison; Marquez Patterson, Liberal; Dennan Morrow, Larned; Patrick Schulte, Nemaha Valley; Ethan Kuhlmann, Kensington; Adrian Herrera, Highland Park; Jordan Broxterman, Frankfort; Jackie Carmichael, Manhattan; Ty Modupe, Highland Park; and Weston Wiebe, Free State.

Wichita Southeast’s Carl Taylor will coach the South boys roster, which includes Bobby Wesley, Garden City; Adonis Gantt, Wichita Southeast; Eli Applegate, South Gray; Cole Graddy, Wichita Trinity; Will Brown, Syracuse; Cole Fiegel, Wichita Collegiate; Lance Russell, Wichita South; Jordan Cyphers, Wichita Southeast; Cortez Barnes, Wichita Southeast; Garrius Holloman, Wichita East; Aaron Frazier, McPherson; and Kelton Marshall, Wichita Heights.

Webb, a 5-foot-10 forward, will be joined on the girls game’s South roster by Demi French, Osborne; Jennifer Lane, Wichita Heights; Stevi Schultz, Neodesha; Megan Patrick, Central Christian; Rhys Pihl, Smoky Valley; Heather Robben, Maize; Jordi James, McPherson; Camille Kahrs, Dexter; Bailey Gee, Andover Central; Kendra Frazier, Labette County; and Brooke Fairbank, Cimarron. Stana Jefferson of Andover Central will coach the South squad.

The North girls team, coached by Lawrence High’s Kristin Mallory, will feature Emma Ostermann, Abilene; Danielle Bird, Lawrence; Katie Henry, Riley County; Lauren Henry, Blue Valley Randolph; Melissa Nelson, Holton; Kimber Weiser, Oakley; Callan Taylor, Blue Valley North; Cassie Lombardino, Basehor-Linwood; Brianna Eldridge, Blue Valley; Katie Pratt, Salina Sacred Heart; Lissa Mazanec, Colby; and Jadhken Kerr, Olathe South.
