EHS football, basketball ticket prices released

Tuesday, August 5, 2008

Emporia High School released its season ticket prices this week for this season’s home football and basketball games and for all school-sponsored sporting events.

Tickets will go on sale Aug. 11 at the Emporia Board of Education office, 501 Merchant St., and at the high school. Adult season tickets for this year’s EHS home football season will cost $15, and an adult season pass to EHS basketball games will cost $30. Eighth-graders and younger can purchase a football season ticket for $10 and a basketball season ticket for $20.

All-season tickets, which admit one person to all school-sponsored events, will cost $70 for adults and $35 for children in eighth grade or younger.

Single-game tickets, which must be purchased at the game, will cost $5 for adults and $3 for students K-12.

Basketball season tickets do not include admission to tournaments. Football season tickets do not include admission to playoff games. A season ticket to all events doesn’t include postseason games or invitational tournaments.

The Spartans open their football season Sept. 5 with a home game against Topeka High and will play four other home dates: Sept. 19 vs. Junction City, Oct. 3 vs. Seaman, Oct. 17 vs. Topeka West and Oct. 31 vs. Salina South.

The girls basketball team opens its season on Dec. 4 in the Paul Terry Classic at White Auditorium, but its first home game at EHS will be Dec. 10 against Hayden. The boys team will play its first game at EHS on Dec. 19 against Topeka High.
