Results of a long and strenuous fundraising effort by a small group of Emporians will bear fruit within the next several days, when volunteers gather to build the Peter Pan Playground. Equipment has been received and help is needed to transform the parts into a full playground for youngsters in the area.
Building starts on Wednesday and is expected to finish on Sunday. To volunteer or for more information, call Robin Nelson at the Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce, 342-1600.
